Update from Cllr Browne  

Recycling issue. Melton only recycle 60%. This needs to improve and recent changes in household waste handling will improve this.
There is to be a Planning Dept review to make improvements in all matters planning,
speed of  decisions, and speed of service.
Council housing investment will modernise houses and landlords will have better H&S compliance to follow.
Drains blocked on Perkins Lane and and Bus Stop at Grimston.
Resident Mr Cowdell, advised he has the paint and undercoat for one phone kiosk and clerk to apply for mor paint vouchers for the Saxelbye kiosk.

Matters arising from Minutes Sept 2019
Saxelbye Phone Box. Update. Form to be completed to take over ownership from HCT.
Station Yard Use. Agreed that it will be monitored and current occupier is aware of this.
No update from Joy Estate solicitors reference the village green registration. Clerk to chase
Correspondence
Jetting of gulley at Church Lane Saxelbye. Parish still insure who is the land owner there that needs to do this.
Collection of contaminated recycling to stop from 1st Oct 2019. Cllr Browne provided the back story to this. See above.
Review of polling stations for Parliamentary elections in the Melton district underway. Clerk to provide feedback.
UK’s exit from the European Union on 31 October. Advice for Melton.
Melton businesses 2019 Business Survey. Communication for Melton
Village green play area covering. Cost is £420 plus vat. Agreed to proceed.

Oakley Cottages. Site visited again Fri 27th Sept 2019.Cllr Ronan confirmed he is
engaging with all parties to ensure the application is processed correctly.

Nov 11th Service. Concern that it may be disrupted by the hunt team passing by. Chairman satisfied that organisers will respect the service at War Memorial.
