Update on all things Melton Borough
Cllr J. Orson provided the following information.
- Melton Council is going for the Cabinet Structure.
- Planning and licensing process will not change.
- Six Hills is not in the local plan. Charnwood and Melton have rejected it. Currently 2036-2050 is being planned.
- Funding secured for Melton Bypass. Work commences next year and finishes 2022
- To approve the Minutes of the Meeting: Held on 19th Dec 2018.
Proviso add in the note about the Haywards Property. Homes incomplete and H&S issue.
- Declarations of Interest: None
- Matters arising from the previous meeting
- Defibrillator training. Clerk to arrange.
b.Who owns phone boxes in Grimston and Saxelbye?. Clerk to investigate
- Various road signs and other issues were reported to the Clerk and have now been addressed with Highways.
- Station Yard. Awaiting update from Jim Worley.
- PC attendance rules. All Parish Councillors provided with print out.
- Correspondence.
(a) Leicestershire Planning Obligations Policy Revised (Draft) : Extension of Consultation Period to Thursday 31st January
(b) LRALC Elections Workshop - 31st January 2019
(c) Automated monthly feedback on all of their current highways related enquiries
(d) Registration of Disclosable Pecuniary Interests. Awaiting Mr J A Lomas completion on his return in March and Cllr Fleur Read. send to SEvans@melton.gov.uk
(e) Area required for eco build. None available for charity request.

Mr Cowdell raised the issue with Grimston Church step and advised the PC that the Church committee were looking to manufacture a ramp for wheelchair and scooter use which would be removable when not required. Clerk is still following up with highways to see if its possible for a permanent solution.
