MINUTES OF GRIMSTON, SAXELBYE AND SHOBY PARISH COUNCIL HELD

        ON MONDAY 10TH Sept AT 7.30 PM AT GRIMSTON VILLAGE HALL

Asked about wreath for Remembrance Sunday. Clerk to request this from British Legion.

After service for Centenary of WW1 Parish Council will provide refreshments and biscuits in Village Hall. Etta Madocks Wright will organise this.

Matters arising from the previous meeting

  • Broadband: Shoby will not be receiving it. Will await further correspondence from N. Mullin.
  • Tony Flint: Grimston Church step too deep for scooters. Clerk to contact Highways agency to put in application for works.

 

  1. Correspondence.

       (a) PKF Accounting requiring Accounts for Parish : AGAR Exemption support to be gained from Jake Atkinson.

       (b) LRALC Director vacancies. NA to Grimston Parish.

       (c) Civic Service 10.30am on Sunday 7 October 2018.St Mary the Virgin Parish Church, Rectory Lane, Bottesford, NG13 0BA.

       (d) Melton Borough Council receives award for its support for the armed forces - Press release

       (e) Bin day change from Monday Sept 10th 2018.

       (f) SHIRE Community Climate Change Grant. NA for Grimston Parish

  1. Planning Matters:

       8/00996/TCA - Church View, 18 Main Street, Saxelbye: Site visit conducted and councillors approved for removal of conifers.

 

Any other Business

 

CLLR E. Hutchinson gave an update on Unitary Council Proposal. MBC voted against it. Relief road to MB has been well supported.

Parish Council chargebacks for elections: The PC agreed to increase Precept by 5% to allow for this.

Postcodes of Top Farm: PC will ask both landowners to put up signs to avoid heavy vehicles/ cranes using Ostler Lane whilst changes to the post code are undertaken.
