MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF GRIMSTON, SAXELBYE AND SHOBY PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 11TH JANUARY 2016 AT GRIMSTON

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the Meeting and asked the member of public and Joe Orson if there were any matters they wished to bring to the attention of the Parish Council.
Member of the public commented the website needs updating. Police details and members interests’ are out of date.
Cllr. Orson reported on increase in Council Tax and stated the Bus Service should stay the same until 2020.
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
The Minutes of the Meeting held on 2nd December 2015 were approved and signed.
DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
The Members had no interests to declare at this stage.
MATTERS ARISING
Grass Mowing Contract - Clerk reported had received a quote from Dan Summerland and asked Nigel Freckingham for quote. To discuss further at next Meeting.
Beech Hedge, Church Lane, Saxelbye - Clerk reported waiting for Leics. County Council to reply.
Cllr. Orson said he would look into.

Melton Borough Council - Preferred/Emerging Options Draft MBC Local Plan. Cllr. Orson commented Consultation starts today for 12 weeks.

ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
Cllr. Orson suggested Parish Council invite Will Baldett to give Talk on Prevent Agenda to raise awareness regarding radicalism. Clerk to contact with suggested dates of 25th, 27th or 20th April.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
The Chairman reported it would not be possible to re-set broadband from Wartnaby. The cost would be too high because there were not enough properties to benefit.
